Position Summary

Darlin’ is hiring Barbacks to support the bar team with speed, organization, cleanliness, and urgency. The Barback keeps service moving by stocking, cleaning, resetting, and anticipating what bartenders need before they have to ask.

This role is essential to maintaining a smooth, polished guest experience in a high-energy cocktail and wine bar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock beer, wine, liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and bar supplies.

  • Keep the bar clean, organized, and service-ready.

  • Wash, polish, and restock glassware.

  • Clear empty glasses, trash, and debris from the bar area.

  • Refill ice wells, garnish trays, water stations, and service supplies.

  • Assist bartenders during busy service.

  • Change kegs and restock coolers as needed.

  • Help reset bar tops and surrounding guest areas.

  • Follow sanitation, safety, and alcohol-service support standards.

  • Report spills, broken glass, low inventory, equipment issues, or guest concerns to management.

Handbook-Aligned Expectations

  • Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your shift and be ready to work on time.

  • Follow manager instructions and maintain professional conduct.

  • Wear required uniform items and maintain a clean, professional appearance.

  • Follow safety procedures, including non-slip shoes, safe lifting, and proper callouts like “Behind,” “Corner,” and “Hot.”

  • Maintain sanitation standards and keep work areas clean.

  • Report accidents, hazards, broken equipment, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for long periods.

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Work in a fast-paced, loud, crowded bar environment.

  • Bend, reach, squat, and move safely around guests and team members.

  • Handle glassware, ice, kegs, trash, and bar supplies safely.
