Position Summary

Darlin’ is hiring Bussers to support the service team with speed, awareness, cleanliness, and care. The Busser helps maintain the flow of the dining room by clearing, cleaning, resetting tables, running support items, and keeping guest areas polished and ready.

This role is essential to the guest experience. A strong Busser notices what needs to happen before being asked, moves with urgency, and helps the entire floor operate smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clear plates, glassware, silverware, and trash from tables and guest areas.

  • Clean and reset tables quickly and correctly.

  • Refill water and assist with guest needs when appropriate.

  • Support servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers during service.

  • Keep dining room, patio, bar, service stations, and guest areas clean and organized.

  • Restock service stations with silverware, napkins, glassware, water bottles, menus, and supplies.

  • Help run food, drinks, or support items as directed.

  • Communicate table status to hosts, servers, and managers.

  • Remove trash, sweep, mop, and assist with opening/closing side work.

  • Follow sanitation, safety, and service standards.

  • Report spills, broken glass, guest concerns, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to management.

Handbook-Aligned Expectations

  • Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your shift and be ready to work on time.

  • Follow manager instructions and maintain professional conduct.

  • Wear required uniform items and maintain a clean, professional appearance.

  • Follow safety procedures, including non-slip shoes, safe lifting, and proper callouts like “Behind,” “Corner,” and “Hot.”

  • Maintain sanitation standards and keep work areas clean.

  • Report accidents, hazards, broken equipment, broken glass, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for long periods.

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Work in a fast-paced, loud, crowded dining room and bar environment.

  • Bend, reach, squat, and move safely around guests and team members.

  • Carry bus tubs, trays, glassware, trash, and service supplies safely.
